Quarantine means spending way more time at home—and for some people, that also means noticing everything you want to change about your space. But is now a good time to take on a major renovation project? The answer is maybe … or maybe not … depending on the project.
Lauren Sieben, a contributor to Realtor.com, says to possibly avoid the following types of projects:
- Anything that requires precious PPE
- Projects on ladders
- Projects that bring a lot of people into close contact (homeowners, contractors, inspectors, etc.)
- Projects that require heavy equipment or a lot of materials
- Noisy projects that annoy the neighbors
- Demolition that generates a lot of garbage
- Extensive projects that overly improve your home
